MISSION STATEMENT

IT IS THE MISSION OF SIR JAMES WHITNEY SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF TO PROVIDE FOR THE EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL, CULTURAL AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS WITHIN A SUPPORTIVE, SAFE, NURTURING, BILINGUAL BICULTURAL ENVIRONMENT.  STUDENTS WILL BE CHALLENGED DAILY TO: BE AN ACTIVE LEARNER, BE POSITIVE MEMBERS OF THE SCHOOL CULTURE, DEMONSTRATE LEARNED SKILLS AND GROWTH.
